The Big Bull Movie

 

The Big Bull is an upcoming Hindi crime drama movie directed by Kookie Gulati. The plot of the movie is based on the life of Harshad Mehta who’s a stockbroker involved in financial crimes over 10 years from 1980 to 1990. Abhishek Bachchan as starrer of the movie with Nikita Dutta IIeana D’Cruz, Sohhum Shah, Ram Kappor and Saurabh Shukla as co-stars. Ajay Devgn is the producer of the movie. Initially, it was planned to release the movie theatrically. But due to Covid-19 pandemic, The Red Bull will stream worldwide on 8 April 2021 on Disney+Hotstar.

Comparison addressed by Hansal Mehta

While there may be concern that comparisons will ruin ‘viewers’ overall enjoyment in the movie, the comparison has arguably also earned the film more exposure.

The director of Scam 1992 - Hansal Mehta-weighed in on the situation, explaining:

“When they announced their film, we were already shooting. Our approach is different from theirs. I have been told that they’ve taken the outline of the story and created a work of fiction from it.”



The Big Bull: What did Abhishek Bachchan Share? 

“Introducing The Big Bull-The mother of all scams." Bachchan tweeted to announce the film’s release date. Incidentally, Scam director Hansal Mehta also shared the film’s teaser to which Bachchan thanked him and added, “Hope we can live up to the immensely top bar that you have set."

In the movie, we can see the actor in the role of Hemant Shah at various locations in Mumbai of 1987. Ajay Devgn is narrating the film. And it can be heard saying, “Chote gharon mein paida hone walo ko aksar bade sapne dekhne se mana kar deti ha duniya. Isiliy usne apni alag duniya khadi kar di. The Big Bull, the mother of all scams.”
